How provider checks work

FinderNook publishes the checks recorded for each participating provider, the date checked and the next review date. Read that specific summary before deciding who to contact.

Listing, claim and checks mean different things

A basic listing contains researched public business information. A confirmed claim means we checked that a representative is entitled to manage the listing. Neither means their work has been independently certified.

Checks must fit the service

Our owner records evidence and limitations before adding a provider to a panel. Depending on the work, this can include identity, relevant experience, references, insurance and required qualifications. We only describe checks actually completed. There is no universal “best provider” badge.

Paid participation is disclosed

Providers may participate voluntarily, trial the service, or pay under an agreed fee or commission arrangement. These commercial arrangements are separate from recorded checks. Payment does not qualify a provider for the panel.

One introduction at a time

You select your first provider and may permit alternatives from the named panel. We tell you before a new introduction. Providers added later are not included in your earlier permission. You can contact FinderNook to cancel or change your request.

Checks are not a guarantee of quality, availability or suitability. Agree the scope, quote and terms with the business before booking. Tell us about problems so we can review their participation.
